This is a bit off topic but has been posted before

My 6 year old i7920 bit the dust, I want to replace the MB, memory and processor.

Is there a i7 processor available w/o graphic output ?. I will use my old GTX960 so I do not need that but it seems all Icore 6700 have them.

A newer version of the old 920 would be fine plus new matching MB ATX size.

Thanks

There has been a few i5 or 17 made in the last few years without integrated graphics. The Xeons don’t have them. The Nvidia GTX960 graphics cards are not ideal for making a BD. It is better to use the Intel graphics to a create BD if HE is desired.

Thanks for the reply, BD? HE?

Turns out that all the MB have video connectors so I will go with i7 6700 or variant

The frustrating part is that they do exist, most (if not all)LG optical drives of recent vintage can do it. They read UHD BR discs files but of course cannot decrypt the data. The LGWH16NS40 is around $60

All that is needed is the software to burn the proper file structure so the player knows what to do with the disc.

Burning them is not an issue.

Eugene
