Sorry to bring this up again, but this is the BS I have to put up with...

All converted to AVI using Cineform, or Magic+PD.

No effects/enhancments, apart from fade transitions.Only

Only set to High Quality Preview.Sure my machine should be able to handle this???

Surely you must not have to go out and buy the best expensive desktop, just to edit a basic video?

Stops/stutters/and impossible to edit to music beats, as the preview doesnt keep up. Frustrating!!!

Hello,

Are you referring to the preview quality options? i.e. you don't have the "Full HD Preview Resolution" or "HD Preview Resolution" options?

What version of Windows are you running? These two are only available for Windows 64-bit. From the help:

"Note: Full HD and HD preview resolution are only available when the Ultra or Ultimate version of CyberLink PowerDirector is installed on a 64-bit operating system."

There's a diagnostic listed in the thread: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/49492.page#260260 is that for your current computer?

If I recall correctly you've had problems with your laptop gpu selections in the past, correct?

Please have a read of the guide and provide additional information, PDR version details and a screenshot (capturing the drop down information/option for your Preview selections.
