Hi.

I am using Power Director 13. I was trying to use Magic Music. I get an error message saying "will ignore some SmartSound media, because is not supported in this project.

Earlier, I got a message that I couldn't use the magic music becasuse the sounds were online.

What am I doing wrong? Can I use Magic Music?

Thanks.

Hi,

Since Apple stopped the QuickTime support under Windows and CyberLink removed it from their installation files, i will suggest you to check if your system has QuickTime installed at first. If not, you can download it from here at your own risk:

https://support.apple.com/downloads/quicktime

The features like importing/producing MOV video files which contain the Quicktime codec and the use of Smartsound will not be available if Quicktime is not installed.

As a matter of interest, I have PD13, and I uninstalled QuickTime because Apple stopped supporting it. If I try to use Magic Music now, I just get a message saying "you must Reinstall QuickTime if you want to use Smartsound".

I would have thought that if the problem was the lack of a QuickTime program I would get the same message as Traveler2030 is getting.

There is clearly a subtle difference here.

Bill,

More than likely a database rebuild will correct.

Open Magic Music, click on Smartsound button, at the bottom click "Rebuild SmartSound Database".

Don;t forget that there are free music pieces and must "pay for" music pieces. .
