Hello all

During my lecture I often record my screen for student to reswatch at home. However, due to some complex connection between my laptop and school pc for projector, the video I obtain only have 480p video in the middle and around is a black cover.

Can you help me how to edit the video, i.e. removing all black and keep the 480p video inside only.

If there is any similar post, I hope you can help me direct to it, since I dont know what is the key word to search for this issue

Thank you a lot

P/S: Pls dont ask me to adjust record size of screen recorder - I tried. But not successful, and besides there were many other similar cases happens hence I would prefer to be able to remove all the dark around the video.

Hi there:

I understand you need to crop your video in order to get rid of blank/black space at all sides. You can achieve this by resizing the video. Just open the PiP Designer (Modify button) and you can, as one of the ways that are available, move the width or height slider under Scale in the Object Settings on the Properties tab on the left of the window. Make sure your project uses the correct aspect ratio. PowerDirector only supports 4:3 and 16:9.

Regards…

Jirka
