Split large project into smaller subprojects. How to add background music?

Hi.

I have PD13 and , as suggested in the past, I splitted up a large bunch of pictures into smaller groups and produced the subprojects into MPEG2 files.

I will insert all produced sub projects to the DVD, but how do I add music to the final project/DVD?

If I add the music to the sub projects, there will be no continuous playing music ,when I play my burned DVD.
I prefer to play an uninterrupted music file during watching the DVD.

In the DVD, all subprojects will be played after each other.

I hope, I explained my problem clear.

Is there an option to add a music (background) file to the whole project/DVD, using subprojects?

It depends on your source of music.

You can always add music in the Music Track and have the music fill the same length as the movie.

SmartSound music can be any length. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I think I know the answer but the way the question is asked and answered may be a bit confusing.

Add all of the mpg2 files back inot PowerDirector as a new project. Take care that there are no gaps between the mpg2 files. Add the music you want to the audio track.

As Carl says, make sure you 1) Use enough of your own music to cover the entire video (remember posting it to somethign like YouTube , it will be flagged for copyright issues) or 2) Use the free tracks (or buy more) fromSmart Sound. Again as Carl says, that music can be of any length (stretched out).

You can then do whatever you want with that project. Since there is only one final video, you may not want to add a menu if you are doing a disc. .

Hi Steve and Carl,
thanks for the quick reply. The solution is often in the simplicity.
It is exactly what I was looking for.
Only.... when the subproject contains a video with audio, I have to fade out the background music manualy and fade it in again.
But again...thanks
