Hi Paul -
Agreed - there are some very neat (37 in total) transitions in that package - https://www.newbluefx.com/products/transitions
Some of them are very similar to transitions included with PDR14, and others could be replicated by applying effects to the ends/starts of clips and inserting a standard PDR transition.
I guess software developers (CL) have to make choices about what third party plug-ins are included. In the same way, companies like NewBlue, have to make business decisions about what NLEs they'll support.
As it is (depending on which version of PDR you're using), there are already ~155 standard transitions in PDR + its own transition designer. On top of that ~330 ProDAD Adorage transitions (depending on version) and ~90 transitions in ProDAD Vitascene, which also has its own transition designer. In round terms, that's 500-600 transitions without making your own.
Just saying...
Cheers - Tony
Hi Tony,
Thanks for chiming in.
Your reply really hit home and I only fully came to realize that in the past hour or so.
I bought Photoshop many moons ago and still use it for all of image editing video related or print. The latter gets more latter and latter and latter. Who prints stuff anymore?
I've received two free versions of PhotoDirector from Cyberlink over the years and played around with the latest bells of each as it were but never made a change. I use Audacity for aural edits & oral recitations, etc.
Who wouldn't love to have Adobe CS whatever though I honestly probably, definitely couldn't handle the curve at this point. Or the hefty fees.
I watched the PowerSuite demo video earlier and wonder why I haven't explored it before.
I'd like to talk to customer service about the various purchase & subscription offers.
The under one roof editing model is what we've craved since the Arrival of the Amiga 1000 and Deluxe Everything by Dan so many many moons ago.
Anyone for a quick round of Genlock? It's a Milton Bradley® game.
With a new version of PowerDirector arriving I want to see how they'll handle upgrading.
Either way, The Suite demo hooked me when they jumped to PhotoDirector. No freaking fuss muss or any of that malarky.
This isn't the first time you've helped me in a pinch. Do know it's very much valued and appreciated every time.
Thank you,
Paul
