I'm new to PowerDirector. Whats with the slow video in edit preview? Is this the way it's supposed to work? If so it's annoying. In all my other video editing apps I don't have this problem. Have I just purchased trouble or is there a config I need to do? Oh and its running on recent hardware which is up to speed and running Win 10. Thanks for any clues.

Yes. That was obvious to me....does not effect the problem. I have increased the playback speed to 1.5. Thats a temporary fix. But if it renders at 1.5 speed then it will be too fast.

Delahenty, are you talking about the Playback in Preview?

Preview can be adjusted to a lower quality, which does not affect the Produced quality.

If you have Preview set to HD, the computer may suffer from overload and display the video at less that full speed. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Try setting the preview quality to "NON REAL TIME". See if it improves your video speed during the edit. In this mode you will have no audio, but if it works it may well tell us something. Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Thanks for your response but I'm over trying to run this software...gone over to Adobe Premiere Pro and it's working fine. Pity. The interface was good on PowerDirector but it didn't like my system
