So, I uploaded my show and took a quick look and it turns out that the titles and graphics are blurry..the TV person says that its "because the lower third is too small for the screen resolutuion I am using."

I don't know what to do! They don't accept or transmit in HD, so I produced it as mpeg and now this!!

I want to have titles below our names, why won't the PD account for this? So confused and have so little time to fix it tonight before it airs... any help would be so appreciated.

Hi Angela -

Going to air tonight??? You'll be going flat chat!

What size were the graphics you used, especially for the lower third? Hard to imaging it would be too small for an SD production.

Do you have any blur applied to shadows or borders in your titles? Someimes that can generate a fuzzy appearance.

Just did some test renders here with/without blur, & using HD lower third... couldn't make it fuzzy when produced to MPEG-2 DVD HQ quality.

Cheers - Tony

I think the title font was 14 to fit on the orange "bar" that PD offers in title room (otherwise the title would extend past the title bar ribbon on both sides)
What does flat chat mean???
Glad to know the reason isn't because of mpeg format.
Now, my entire computer had to be restored to stop stopping, so, it will be a few hours till i can reinstall pd and start again... its one of those days....I cant remember the size of the black graphic bug logo I used.

Sorry Angela - "flat chat" is an Australian idiom. It means going at maximum speed. I should have used a more universal term.

Do you mean the title template called "Cool Glass Lower 2"? The default blur on that shadow is set to 10! Also - the animation has feathered ends which might contribute to fuzziness. Some of the included animations in title templates do have low res graphics - e.g. "Brush_03" uses 640x360 images.

Still they should be OK in a SD production.

Cheers - Tony

Thanks Tony, I just reinstalled my entire computer and still PD keeps freezing, hence, I never fixed the show that is airing tomorrow.
