Media not added to project after capture

Hi all,

Using PowerDirector 13.

I'm capturing from a Sony Digital 8 camcorder. The capture works perfectly, and the media shows up in the Captured Content window just fine (in the Capture module).

I save the project, and when I return, the Captured Media window is blank.

I do have Add Captured Files to Media Library checked in Preferences->Capture.

Any ideas?

welcome to the forum.
After completing your capture, did you open the EDIT window? That is when the media is brought into the library. After that you can save. Let us know if you have a different experience, or if this helps you. Thanks.

Hello, Jeffrey22!

Indeed it is session-based! It's always been thus. In one session, when you capture your content, as soon as your capture is completed(stopped recording), a little window will appear, asking you to give your capture a title, this could be a tentative title that you'll use for editing purposes, perhaps. When you've typed in that (tentative) title, then your capture will appear in the captured content area to the right of the monitor screen in the capture mode. Then, switch to Edit and your capture will automatically import, ready for you to pull down to a timeline and begin editing. It's all quite straight-forward.
