Has pd14 solved pd13's problems?
[Post New]
In considering upgrading from power director 13 to 14, I'm not yet convinced it's worth the trouble. One improvement that would make me upgrade is if I learn one problem has been fixed. I've read in the forum that others have this problem in pd13. Fade transitions at the beginning of a clip will play backwards. After a program restart, they will play normal for a moment, then return to backwards playback after a few edits are performed.

Has anyone experienced this problem and then a fix in pd14? What other problems have been corrected in pd14? Asus, Intel i7-4770 CPU 3.60GHz 16g 64bit
Windows 7 Professional SP1
2tb sata 7200rpm internal sys drive
PD ultra 13.0.3130.0

That fade issue had been around a long time. All I can say is I have not experienced that issue yet in PD14, I did previously but very intermittently.

Keep in mind you can get a full refund from CL within 30 days if you find this issue is not resolved for you. http://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=2317

I have experienced bassackward transitions of various types maybe going back to PD 12. It's not often, but it sure does happen. Close and reopen the project. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

BTS124, It appears some may still have the fade issue or very similar issue that you describe still occurring in PD14, http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/48182.page I guess you can cross that off the list as a reason to update.
