I have a monologue with music. I need to copy about 1 minute of the audio from the end, and add it to the beginning. What is the easiest process for me to accomplish this task?

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

Not quite sure from your post if your audio is a separate music track or combined video/audio. Also how much (if any) audio/video synch is required.

If the audio is separate you can copy and paste all or parts of the track relatively straightforwardly. Say copy entire track to separate track then split and delete and copy back??Or copy it all, past to start and trim start and end points to suit

If it is not you can split the audio to a separate track BUT beware of getting out of synch - I'd experiment on a copy project to start with.

Alternatively, produce your project to an audio file - streaming file, wmv audio of your choice, and use an external editor, edit, save and import back to PD.

If you join seemyworldonvideo, the extras for editors page has links to free software such as audio editors etc.

Cheers
Adrian

Thx for the info. I basically had to take an existing documentary for a client, that had monologue and music in it, and edit it. I also had to add to it, so now I need to copy some of the music at the end of the video, and add it to the part that I added. All the while matching back up the original audio/music tot eh edited part of the video. Hopefully I can match it up. Again, thanks!
