Colorising multiple clips
[Post New]
Hi everyone,

I have this issue and would appreciate your advice ; I use PD 13. I have added a few clips on the timeline and have even split some of them. I need to colorise them before the final output, but before exporting I must fix/enhance the colors. Naturally, I know how to do this but for one clip per time and the Fix/Enhancement option is not there if I select multiple of them.

So, is there a way to do the color fixing procedure only once, applying it for all selected clips ?

Thank you in advance.

If you are applying the same changes to all your clips, you could do it as a two stage process i.e. produce first and then apply changes to the new video and produce it again.

Thanks anyway, I do appreciate your feedback.

I would rather avoid this, though, as it would mean that the final clip having been compressed twice, instead of once. Any alternative ideas ?

I checked older topics and it seems that something like this was available in earlier versions through an "Apply to All" button. Was discontinued probably

In my experiance you won't see any difference in quality when re-using video that has been produced previously. I always think that it is best not to pre-judge things, unless you've tried it and found that it doesn't work for you. I'm afraid I can't offer any alternative as it's outside my experience.

If all of the clips are on the same track, the Apply To All button on the bottom to the fix/enhance window will apply to all clips on the one track (track 1 for sure).

If you have videos in multiple tracks, it only works on the one clip. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thank you both for your time and advice. The problem is I cannot see any "Apply to All" button, anywhere in the page.

If I select both clips from the timeline, the "Fix/Enhance" option disappears. And, so far, I have only worked with one video track.

Any suggestions ?

If you can not see the Apply to all button, your interface is not full screen.

Thank you Carl. Your directions helped me discover that the lower part of the top screen has a slider. The buttons in question were hidden behind the slider. Now it's ok. Thank you !
