Uploading Tutorial Videos to Youtube

I am beginning to try creating tutorials for upload to YouTube. What is a recommended resolution for screen capture, I have seen a recommendation for 720 x 480 pixels on some YouTube video, and a recommended file format for upload to video to youtube. My videos will include screen video shots that I would like present at the best resolution possible. I am using PD 14 on Windows 10. Thanks for the help. Jim Himself

Thanks for this reply several days ago.

Youtube specification:MP4 (which I take to be MPEG-4)

MP4 (which I take to be MPEG-4)

As supported by my version of Cyberlink Powe Director:

PD Version: 14.0.2707.0File Formats: AVI, MPEG-2, Windows Media, Quick Time, AVC, XAVC S

File Formats: AVI, MPEG-2, Windows Media, Quick Time, AVC, XAVC S

I am still at a loss as what to do. Are any other file format drivers available for the Production feature of PD? My PD ver. 11 did include a MPEG-4 format. Jim Himself

Hi Jim -

Here's the screenshot I would have posted if Barry hadn't already explained it.

Also, if you're interested, *this* is worth having a look at/read through to help understand more about formats/codecs & containers.

Cheers - Tony
