I have created a simple PiP Object based around a single photographic image which involves a number of the position / scale / opacity etc. keyframe actions, and I'd like to replicate this same PiP numerous times, but with a different picture in each execution.

Is there a way to "swap" out just the picture without having to build all the keylines actions up again from scratch around it again please?

Thanks in advance Edward

You may be able to copy the keyframes of the first PIP object then paste those Keyframes onto the new object.

Right clip the first object > Copy Keyframes. Select the second PIP object, Right Click > Paste Keyframes. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thanks Carl, thats very helpful for item that are in the video "timeline"

Is there any way to do this "At source" to a PiP Object, so that the settings stay with it for the next time you want to use it?

Hi Edward -

What Carl has suggested is the most efficient way to do what you're asking. Copying & pasting keyframe attributes can ONLY be done in the timeline.

N.B. If your images don't have the same aspect ratio, copying & pasting keyframe attributes will result in distortion. Also - if they have different durations the process doesn't work so well.

To save for future use, open it in PiP Designer and save as a new template.

This tutorial covers it reasonably well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnAyVnA2O5o

Cheers - Tony
