Elvis Presley tribute show promo

As media co-chair of my local Elks, I was asked to see if I could come up with anything to push tickets for an upcoming charity show featuring an Elvis tribute. The first thing I did was go to the performer's website and abscond with photos, music, and video to use. I did not have permission, but that came when Mr. Black saw the result. He was quite pleased actually. Now, for those who do not know, Elvis usually started his show with 2001 Space Odyssey to raise the tension and get people in their seats. It would then segue into CC Rider as Elvis appeared on the stage. I saw this happen live as I was a 9 year old in Vegas on vacation. Not too many folks my age can say they saw Elvis before he plumped up! Anyway, I rarely share my work, but I thought, hey, it's only a minute-plus, or as I like to write it 1.1 minutes... I hope you enjoy this, comments are welcome, dissenters will be whipped without mercy.

An interesting approach that might get you into a different phase (delight) of editing "dissenters will be whipped without mercy". I look forward to knowing who takes you up on the latter.

Will you be donning a dark wig and glittering white outfit... (maybe adding - stockings, high heels... rouge lipstick ha ha ha ha) Barry?

PS, saw the video. for making the best of the material you could grab.

Maybe I should have used "flogged".
As for the pinched content, for a well-known act this fellow he had mostly unsteady camera-phone point and shoot videos on his site, so yes, I take a lot of pride in my ability to fabricate respectable productions out of sometimes very thin air. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Didn't realize that you are possibly into acting on the other end of the camera until reading Dafydd's comment. I watched the video and that would be something that I would be interested in. You stated that this is a charity event but there is nothing in the video stating that. The public is inclined not to go if they think the entertainers are mediocre but look at it in a different light if they knew it was for a known charity or to help someone in need.

Yes... if it's a charity event, and especially if it will benefit kids in any way, you would be well served to include some sort of verbage/communication/text - that clearly states that in the video. Then people might crawl out of the woodwork to come and help you folks out!

Just my 2 cents... but.. it looked pretty good Barry!

Well, in this case, to be more acurraterer, any event at the Elks benefits the organization through a cut of the proceeds of venue rental, food and drink sales and maybe a cut of the ticket. That money is then used for local and national causes, often Veterans and children, schools, the like, but THIS particular event is not EXACTLY charity. This entertainer is well-known around here so there was no need to push his qualifications, only make people aware the event was scheduled when and where. As for being on the other side of the lens, if you read Dafydd's statement a little more closely you'll hopefully see he was being a goof-ball, and nooooooot exaaaactly family-friendly.

After watching Barry's video, I would say well done!

All of the needed information is in the video.

Too bad, I will never get to Massachusetts, It might be a good show.

I never saw Elvis in person, all I ever saw was on TV. The odd thing, Elvis died on my Birthday August 16. He died in 1977. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
