It should.

File Formats Still Images: JPEG, RAW

Movies: AVCHD Ver. 2.0, MPEG-4, XAVC S

Audio: AAC LC, Dolby Digital 2ch, Linear PCM (Stereo)

Powerdirector cannot import RAW images. JPEG is OK.

Movies: I know Powerdirector will import AVCHD, and MPEG4. Not sure about XAVC S

The Specs for Powerdirector 14, Check the Format and Device Support.

Hi, jpflkeys!

If your camera is SD Card-based, and connects to your computer via USB, then the camera should behave like an external hard-drive and you should be able to import the files you want(with the exception of RAW files, as Carl312 pointed out). I have Panasonic and Canon cameras that hook up to my computer via USB, I have the option of importing content in this fashion, or I can remove the SD Card from the camera(turning it off, first), then inserting the SD Card into a card reader device(also USB-connected) and extract the files directly from the card to my Media Room, or copy the files to my internal drive, and import them from there.

Cheers!

Neil.

Hi JP -

ALL the files from your Sony A7II are completely compatible with PDR.

PDR will import the .ARW files (RAW), but convert them to JPG in the process.

The XAVC video files are the same profile as some of the clips from my Sony 4K Action Cam and PDR has no issues importing & editing.

Confirmed by downloading some video samples from here - and original photos from the same site.

Cheers - Tony
