PD13 produces quicktime MOV with no audio

I created a movie.
Plays fine (good audio) in PowerDirector before producing.
Producing the movie into 1280x720_24p.wmv format creates movie with good audio.
Producing the movie into QuickTime yields MOV with no audio (no sound playing either in Quicktime on PC or on iPhone).

I rebooted the computer and ran PowerDirector without running any other programs,
as we know PowerDirector 'Produce' sometimes silently fails if resource-starved, but no luck.

Tech support is unresponsive.

Any ideas?

LPCM produced an MOV file with audio, but the produced file CRASHED QuickTime at a scene transition!

I updated to the latest PowerDirector 13 build and tried again, and I finally got an MOV with sound that plays AOK on PC (QuickTime) and iPhone!

That was much harder than it should have been, aarrrgggg...
