Hi,

I have a pictures files that when they are displayed at Windows 10 screen saver and at the painter application, they occupy all the screen.

But when I load them at Power director 13 , they have wide edges.

I try to make a movie with these pictures, but also then , they have a wide edges.

Note : All the pictures movies, that I made previously, Before installing Windows 10 (I had Windows 7 before) occupied all the screen, with no edges.

Please tell me why does it happen, and how can I fix it.

sincerely

Post a sample picture with the problem or show us what you mean by wide edges with a screenshot. Change the project aspect ratio to 4:3 and 16:9 to see if there is an improvement.

That aspect ratio control (icon) is just to the left of the 'Gear' icon in the main PD window - at the top ... left-ish side of the main PD window.

Hi tomasc,

Thanks for your answer.

The attached file contains the original image that occupies the whole screen,

and the same image at the mpg file, which was created by Power Director 13, that has wide edges.

I tried to change the aspect ratio to 16:9, but there was no any improvement.

The 2000x1111 photo has an aspect ratio of 1.8 to 1 which is not 1.778 to 1 or 16:9. I found a photo on the internet that has an aspect ratio of 1.98 and it displayed much like your left screenshot. There will be black borders on the top and bottom because the photo is wider than 16:9.

I have win 7. Maybe win 10 is different. To fix that photo to fit in a 16:9 window try this:

  1. Highlight the photo on the timeline. You should see a circle around a cross in the center preview window.

  2. Move the white ball on the left side of the photo in toward the center.

  3. Click and drag the center of the photo to the left.

  4. Make fine adjustments on the photo with the white balls on the left and right.

Let us know if this fixes the problem.
