No one still hasnt helped, does anyone know how to fix this problem?? Yes i have installed K-Lite Codec Pack and gone through all the procedures, updated all patches, and still nothing. I record using software i bought called Action! which records my computer screen. No thats not the problem, The problem is that im missig the right decoders. I tried almost everything. I upgraded from 13 to 14 because i thought there was a problem with PDR 13 working with Win/10.

PC Specs: Intel i7 / Win/10 / 8GB Ram / 2 TB Hard Drive / Nividia GeForce GTX 760 [GC]

welcome to the forum.

you've recorded in proprietary Mirillis FICV video codec in AVI container.

i've read the Action manual.

that is very reason why free software like K-lite, FFDShow etc can't decode.

if i'm wrong then others will correct me.

choose .MP4 container next time or PD14's recorder.

I cant switch to mp4 because then the video will look worse, btw cyberlinks recorder is not good because of many resons and one is that it records at 30fps no higher PC Specs

AVi files are generally supported by several media players, but please note that AVI is actually a container. Maybe the file includes codecs that are not available on your system or it might get corrupted and therfore you are getting error code 3 & Shadow File Error.

To fix this issue you can read and follow the instruction mentioned here - How to Repair AVI Files?

Though I had not tried this tool but you can just give a try by installing the free trial. Within the software you can check the preview. If preview looks well, then to recover your AVI file you can purchase th full version of the software.
