The issue not so much PD13 and WIN 10 (other than the AVI issue), it's really more your PC and WIN10 compatibility. My success rate is about 80% based on doing 10 PC updates. Similar to what optodata reported here, http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45756.page#236463 1 in 4 had issue.

The issues can usually be solved but depends on your computer skills and backup media at your dispolsal. If this is the model of your XPS 8000, http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/studio-xps-8000/drivers propbably not a lot of help from Dell based on the support note. It also appears several had NIC issues but were able to resolve, http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19645189

I'd do your own homework prior to just hitting the update feature. One has the option to always back out to previous OS within 30 days as well, I've never used that feature yet.

For JL_JL

Your advice has been invaluable. I visited the site and my Dell computer has not been tested for upgrading to Windows 10, and drivers have not been updated for that model, so Dell does not recommend that you upgrade to Windows 10.Thank you very much W 10 64 , pc Dell XPS 8000 - core i7 2,8 GHz--ram 6 MB--GEFORCE GTX 1050TI 4GB - SSD 256 + 2x630--area Pal

Knowing Microsoft I'd bet the process leaves a lot of garbage behind. undecided Regards,

Probably leaves a bunch of garbage doing the upgrade in the first place. .

Windows 7 can do more than win 10. Can play dvd, have the media center, etc. Found that certain softwares do not work. Would not want to upgrade and lose all this.
