After editing my video in PD14 and then go to produce it with h.264 (MP4) the quicksync option is disabled.

This is a fresh install of win7 HP x64 with latest drivers for motherboard (H81M-S1 rev. 2.1) and i3-4370 cpu (HD 4600) with 16GB RAM.

Do I need to enable something in PD14 first?

Search didn't give me any good results.

Thanks for any help

Quicksync?
Is it SVRT you're referring to?
Please provide a screenshot of what you're looking at.

Quicksync not supported for H.265 for your Intel GPU. Switch to H.264 and it should be active.

I just found that out. After realizing I posted h.264 by mistake in my first post. I then went to the h.264 tab and I was able to select mp4 the quicksync was available now.

It is sure nice to go from over 2hours to process the 43 minute video to about 7 minute!!!

Thank you for your help

Not sure if there is h.265 encoding support in the new Intel QS drivers. This link state that there is h.265 decoding support as of April, 2015: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9152/futureproofing-htpcs-for-the-4k-era-hdmi-hdcp-and-hevc .

Wow, thanks for the excellent article, tomasc!

I think the part that matters most to us here is the part about software needing to be able to access the relevant GPU hardware/hybrid features to get the full benefit of what's available.

I have two PCs with supported Intel HD graphics chips (a 4600 and 5000) but PD doesn't yet support HEVC on them
