For the past few days, whenever I use PowerDVD 15 Ultra, after I close it, I have to check Task Manager to make sure it's REALLY closed, and nine times out of ten, it's still sittin' there, chillin' in the Processes tab, waiting for me to end the process. It started when I popped a Blu-Ray disc into the drive on my PC, and PowerDVD wouldn't open automagically, like it usually does. I spent five minutes trying to start it from RocketDock before I decided to check TaskMan. There were five instances of it running concurrently. After I shut them all down, I tried again, to launch it from the dock. It popped up a dialog box stating that PowerDVD was "already running", and that it couldn't start while there was another active instance of the application. So, I rebooted, and it ran fine. No error messages. But now it sits resident untill I kill it manually. Any thoughts on why it's doing this, and more importantly, how I can get it back to functioning normally?

Have a think about what settings you've changed lately.

That's the thing...I haven't changed any settings. It just started acting like this out of the blue...I hadn't used it in a while, but I have left the settings default. I didn't want to change anything until I knew what I was doing. I'm about to just wipe it and reinstall PowerDVD. "Good judgement comes from experience. Try disabling all Trutheater Enhancements and if that doesn't work try disabling Hardware Acceleration.

Also do you think your display drivers have changed since the last time you used it? Have you installed the latest patch version of Power DVD?

That I haven't done. I'll try that when I get home. "Good judgement comes from experience. And a lot of that comes from bad judgement." --Will Rogers
