I was able to rip a DVD movie to a thumb drive. Can someone tell me how to carve out a 30-second portion of the movie and move it to the Media Library Room so I can drag it down to the Timeline in PD14? I see clips from movies on YT, so it must be possible to do it...

Thanks very much! Brumblebuffin

You can only copy a DVD if it is not copyrighted.

Since you have the movie on a Thumb drive, just copy the movie to a folder on your hard drive, import that movie to the PD library, then put on the timeline. Once the movie is on the timeline you can use the range finder, and Produce range. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
