Im having a freind design a logo I can stick in on the end of my videos. What format does it need to be. GIF,or what other. Guess it can not be a jpeg. He needs to know which one to make it in. It will have no background so I can stick it on any frame on the time line

Thank you!!

Not sure why a .jpg wouldn't work. Even if it doesn't, convert it to anything you like. .
.
Never, under any circumstances, combine a laxative and sleeping pill on the same night.

If you are looking for just a static logo graphic (non video), png format often very good. It's easy to make png have a transparent background so the logo can sit on top of the underlying content.

I second png. A gif will work, but has limited colors and usually doesn't look as good in the finished product. __________________________________

Had my friend send me some jpeg images that were done at 300 dpi. When I looked at them in power director and enlarged to the full screen on my computer the resolution was very bad. What settings should I tell him to use. He is not familiar with the png format. But I wonder if he makes them in jpeg and saves as then picks .png ??

What were the resolution of the logo in pixels? 300dpi of a 100 pixel square is blury when enlarged to a full screen. The dimensions or pixel amounts are important.

Simply drag your k2 logo to video track 2, set duration as required.

You need to have your friend make your logo at least 1920x1080 pixels as a PNG. That is a 16:9 aspect ratio.

300 dpi is a reference to printing. You must know the dimensions of the print such as 8.5 x 11 inches. If your print is 8.5 inches wide at 300 dpi then the image is 8.5 * 300 = 2550 pixels wide. What the other dimension is depends on the aspect ratio.

A good explanation of how images on a computer vs images that are printed work.
