Remove music but keep dialogue?
[Post New]
I'm working on a trailer for the game Just Cause 3 as part of a contest initiated by Square Enix and want to have some VO dialogue in it, some of which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39EJs80wrqk

Because it will only be certain sections, I don't want the music (and if possible too the bullet and explosion sound effects) as I will add different kinds underneath it with different video. I want to know if there is an easy way to cut music from a video but attempt to keep the voices in it.

If you can provide an answer, thanks very much

Hello Mailboss,

Unfortunately, once the separate audio tracks (dialogue, music, sound FX) are mixed into video format it's nearly impossible to isolate any particular track. Extracting, for example, an outstanding sound effect would be a simpler proposition.

It would also depend on the properties of the extracted audio (from the video) & how it was mixed. I shall do some further investigation & consult people who are more proficient than I.
