Hi !

I'm editing a video that should be ready this week.
I was sure that I have done this before; taking snapshots in jpg and be able to open them in a photoprogram ( not Photo now) for editing.
Today I can't crack the task of doing this - saving not to any project-option.
Do I remember false - was this ever possible?
If so, instant help. please!

Nina

Hi Nina,

I've just tried it, it seems PD saves snapshots as .bmp files into the library, but I can open mine in my photoeditor OK and save them as whatever.

To find the actual disc location of the file, right click on snapshot in the library and look at properties.

Hope that helps
Cheers

Hi Adrian
You can choose bmp or jpg (or png I think) but my task is to save it as jpg - and not a PD7 project. I can't save it as anything else today, it seems, and I don't get the snapshot displayed in the file - just PD7 project.

Thanks, anyway!

Adrian!
Gosh - I just found them!
They had made their own way to "My doc" - and NOT where I chose for them in the first place; in the folder where I keep the other stuff for this video.

Day saved!

Hi Nina,

Open PD
Directors Chair (top left)
Select Edit > Preferences
File tab > Export Directory - browse and choose a location to save "stuff" to.
File tab > Snapshot - change it if you wish

To call up Preferences when PD is open (shortcut route)
Keyboard > Alt + C

Yes, Dafydd!
I must have had a blackout today,
due to a bit of stress possibly. I knew I'd done this before.
Thanks!
