I've Tried Everything

Hi, PIX and members.

I so badly need your help. I've been trying for the last 3 days to find the solution to this issue, and I'm now desperate. Thank you.

Editing Version: PowerDirector 14

AudioDirector Version: 5

Every single time I try to clean the audio of my latest project, and then export it back to PowerDirector, I'm ending up with a sort-of doublesound, resulting in what sounds like a slightly tinny, robotic affair. Distorted.

Its never done this before. I've tried separating audio and video before sending it to AudioDirector; I've tried importing the file directly into AudioDirector from the start; and I've tried extracting the audio.

I've also tried producing it to see if that somehow irons out this abnormality, but its still there afterwards.

The original audio is definitely normal, with only some slight hissing, as is usually the case with mic.

The only cleaning function I'm using is Noise Reduction.

I searched the forum to see if there was any other instances of this happening, but I came across none (I did find one, but the outcome wasn't clear).

Please help me if you can. Thank you for reading. FX 8350 Black Edition

Hello ChristopherDeanHoward,

Welcome to the ADR forum laughing with that attention-seeking thread title!

It may be something you've done or it may be a glitch in ADR. When you say "clean the audio", what exactly did you do? Could you please list the effects or adjustments you applied. It's not too difficult to make audio have a "tinny" sound.

Maybe the best thing to do is select a short piece of the audio (10-15 seconds) that exhibits the hissing sound & produce that section only. You can do that easily in PDR or ADR. Attach it here and members will try to replicate your issue, or possibly resolve it.

Thank you for the quick response, PIX, bro (apologies if you're actually a lady. When I say 'bro', I'm of course assuming you're a man smile).

I think I might have actually finally sorted the issue out. I just need to test it a bit more etc to be sure. I'll report back if it turns out I still have said issue, and I'll post the file in question.

Thanks again for the quick reply, mate. FX 8350 Black Edition
