Test case :

1) download the project from my google drive at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1eSSO_7gwqeUFZBUzFQSFJUeFk/view?usp=sharing

2) unzip it in its own directory

3) copy profile.ini to C:\Users\Julien Pierre\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\14.0(replace your username)

4) start PowerDirector 14

5) open the "trim" project

6) click produce

7) click H264

8 ) click M2TS

9) click "custom" under profile type

10) select "Sony 4K M2TS LPCM" profile

11) make sure Fast video rendering technology is checked, and SVRT is selected

12) click start to render

13) try to play the rendered file in the PD14 viewer. The video will freeze within the first second. Audio continues to play.Same thing happens when playing it in PowerDVD 14.

14) try to play the rendered file in Windows media player : the video freezes, and there is also no audioIf
you repeat with "intelligent SVRT", the file will render correctly, but
to an MP4 file rather than M2TS, and the audio will be AAC instead, and
of much lower quality.

I am choosing to render as M2TS with a custom profile in order to preserve the original PCM audio of the camera.

This has been filed as a bug with Cyberlink as CS001515168 on 9/23 .

Cyberlink reproduced the problem, but so far no resolution.

I have, all my cases are in "open" state and I'm waiting for their update. I cannot send anything more on the cases - and I don't have anything more to send. I just hope there will be a proper diagnosis. I bought PD14 on september 17 so I'm still in my 30 day period to get a refund. All 6 cases were submitted during the first week of ownership. Given the lack of progress on all 6 cases, I'm considering asking for a refund on day 29 if there is no progress.
