I would like to know if there is a way to remove the " edited by Power Director" after or before I produce my video. Seems like free advertising and I would rather have the choice to share what program I used.

1neleven,
welcome to the Forum.
Are you using the TRIAL version of PD? If yes, you cannot remove the watermark.
Did you BUY PowerDirector? If yes, please know that the TRIAL cannot be activated, it's a crippled demo version. You need to install the true program.
The true full program should have been bought at a reputable dealer, either Cyberlink, or an approved seller.
Please let us know what build/version you have of PD14.
Last, we are volunteers, but for a few exceptions, we do not work for Cyberlink, therefore we have no ability (nor desire) to make you "whole" if you got a cracked PD. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

It's fairly common for free/trial versions of software to be watermarked. It's only advertisingif it's published.

Have you had a look around your timeline (in the Title track, for example) to see what else is there?

Cheers - Tony

Thanks for the replies. It is the trial version. I only downloaded because my older, purchased version continues to crash with Windows 10 and I can't seem ti find out if there is an update or fix for it and have been trying to finish a project. Does anyone know of a fix for the Windows 10 to make my version 8 compatible?

Have both versions (13 & 14) of PD Ultimated running on an older notebook w/Windows 10, out of the two 14 has been pretty much rock solid in stability with 13 exhibiting the occasional and common "stopped respondIng" error, that alone is worth the price to me and hopefully it continues, any additional features are an added bonus.

PD8 goes back a long ways, and while Cyberlink's website states that only PD14 is compatible with Win10, there are many members running older versions.

You haven't provided any details about the crases or what kind of clips or computer you're using, but you might want to look at this *thread* especially if you're using AVI files.

You can also start a new thread in the "PD Previous versions" section and post all the requested details if you're up for some diagnostics and testing.
