I don't think I've ever seen this in a PD previous releases. The Director Suite has more added features to the base PD editor product vs the Ultimate Suite. Usually it was just other support products, like PhotoDirector.

Jeff -

I think you're right. In previous versions, the difference between Director Suite & PDR Ultimate Suite has only been the inclusion of PhD (or not).

... which (currently) makes DirectorSuite a good option. PhD 7 & NBFX 6 for $20 laughing

Cheers - Tony

I don't suppose the old plug-ins have any chance of working in the new PD ?

Say, if one has PD13 Ultimate but wants to upgrade to PD14 Ultra. MSI X99A Raider
Intel i7-5820k @ 4.4 GHz
32GB DDR4 RAM
Gigabyte nVidia GTX 960 4GB
480 GB Patriot Ignite SSD (boot)
2 x 480 GB Sandisk Ultra II SSD (striped)
6 x 1 TB Samsung 860 SSD (striped)

2 x LG 32UD59-B 32" 4K
Asus PB238 23" HD (portrait)

Hi Julien Pierre -

If you're referring to NewBlue FX, yes - all effects packs installed with previous versions of PDR should be available & functional within PDR 14.

The same applies to purchased Pixelan packs & CL bundles.

Cheers - Tony

ynotfish,
Thanks, that's good to know. It may tilt things in favor of upgrading, then.

I can add that all customized and downloaded items from previous versions will be available as well. You won't lose any functionality or the ability to work with previous projects.

One thing to be aware of us that once you open and SAVE a project in PD14, you can no longer edit it in PD13. Opening but not saving doesn't change anything and you'll still be able to open it in PD13.
