Evaluating Powerdirector 13 using Phantom 3 drone and Gopro

I reciently purchased a Phantom 3 drone and I am evaluating video editing software to bridge the gap of the Gopro Studio Software. Anyway, I created a video using Powerdirecter 13 and when I publish the video, it is not as crisp as the Gopro Studio. Also, the Phantom 3 videos look very bad after they are published. I don't know the term to use but the video is very jumpy in spots esically if there is a fence or something with a lot of vertical and horiziontal lines. I have tried changing frame rates and even created videos with only the Phantom 3 footage and it looks terrible. The Gopro software has no problems with this. Powerdirector's interface is growing on me, I just need the video quality to be as good as the Gopro Studio. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is the trial software not as good at the full version?

Hi ktsavoie65

We'll need to know for a starter:

Info from the camera:

Resolution
Format
Frame rate

In PD what setting are you using to produce the video?
EG H264 MP4 Frame rate?

Assuming you have everything correct and you are using HD:
If you are creating MP4 H.264 HD under Produce create a custom 1920x1080 profile and increase the bitrate from 15.5m to 30m and check the framerate is same fps as your GoPro clips. Made a big difference to my GoPro output quality.
Use Mediainfo (free download) to compare original GoPro MP4 clips with PDR13 MP4 file info.

As pointed out, we need to know more, but keep in mind that GoPro shoots at very high bitrates, so you need to get a profile that will keep that quality. I am surprised you even got the trial version to accept GoPro video unless CyberLink has changed something. __________________________________

Almost all my footage is shot with my GoPro cameras...including some drone time and have had good output results...I shoot 1080 and either 30 fps or 60 frps and have had equal results with both...
