Synchronising audio

I'm editing a song in PowerDirector 13 which was filmed with 4 cameras. I want to use Modify to create a PIP of one clip inside another, and clearly I need to synchronise the audio. Synchronising in Multicam is no use because I would then have to select one camera or the other at a time to record. Is there a way of synchronising two audios within Modify?

Once I've achieved that I also want to be able to 'ghost' one image on top of the other - eg a guitar playing in the background with the singer featured in the middle of the screen. Is this possible? Peter

All you need to do is select all the clips in the main timeline that you want to sync, and click on the Sync by audio button that will appear in the active tool line just above.

Be aware that if you have other content in the timeline, the synced clips may be moved to new tracks in a different position. You can highlight and move them back to the original positions, but it's a little easier if you sync them before adding other clips.

For your 4 camera project, I'd suggest placing just the first clip from each camera on individual tracks, then sync. Then you can add the next clips in sequence from each camera and they'll all be in sync. Obviously that won't work if the footage isn't continuous, and if there are any breaks you'd just indivudually sync the clip following the break with one of the other tracks.

There's a tutorial of just this feature (which can sync up to 100 tracks, by the way)! Look at the MultiCam Editing video listed in the PD13 Tutorials sticky.
