Simple overprinted title.

Is there some way to create a one-time overprinted title without using or creating a template? For example, I'd like to place the words: "Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festiva"l over a scene. Is there some way I can just click on clip and frame where I want the title to begin, type in the words I want, adjust the size and placement and have it appear as an overprint?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is simple.
NO
- If you use Subtitles you can not change the size and location.
Therefore, the easiest way would be to:
Take any text that resembles the type of text you want from 'Title Room' - drag it to the timeline where you want it to appear - click modify and type the text you want (and make the changes you wish ) - click on 'Save'. Now you have the text without having made a template.
Only if you click 'Save As' creates a template.

Turns out making a template is easier than I realized. Just made a template for each of the titles I wanted. Took a few minutes. Great tool now that I've tried!
