You are the only one I know of that can do 4K 60P. If you ever did 30P, do you find a big difference when viewing?



I had a 3 sensor HC X900M Panasonic before and going to 60P from 60i did make a huge difference in resolution.

Hopefully PD14 will make use of the encoding capabilities of the GTX 960, like HEVC 4K.

I am sweating ( and my PC ) in the moment,with some of the new settings in Wi1o and PD13 sometimes the old Rutter is back

My shooting in the Kruger Park was with Panasonic &GoPro 4 Pal 3840/25 (50Mpbs) Quality 100 %
Back Home Install the NEW Wi10 and some of the small Problems are back in the Time Line only.
Today my 1 Film with this Material = Edeting had some Hiccups.

30 Minutes ago my Rendering was in 264 mp4
End Result 4:55 min in Rendering and Product 4:55
Result QUALITY 100% ( My Wife thinks so to )

Pretty happy with the PD13 but would upgrade only if one of the below happens:



the GTX 960 (and the like) is fully used in encoding and decoding when using 4K. Especially using HEVC. Encoding 4K in HEVC HIPQ mode takes about 1 hour for 1 minute of video !!!!!!



PD14 includes burning of UHD disks, including a format for 4K UHD on regular 25 GB BR discs. (Same idea as using AVCHD red laser DVDs for HD) I am sure that Sony will include that feature in their UHD players since they sell XAVC-S cameras.

20sec in less than 2 minutes.



I can do 1 minute in app 8 minutes in PD13 but it is full of artifacts, especially when motion is involved.

PD13 has a HIPQ HEVC mode, only that is more or less acceptable to my 82 year old eyes..
