Help!! Lost all my Director Zone downloads

Hi there,

I had to have one of my Hard Drives (Disk0) replaced as the boot partition was faulty. It wouldn't boot from Restart or Shutdown. I thought all data had been transferred, but cannot find my Director Zone downloads. Where abouts on the drive would they be located?

Ihave just finished re-installing PD12.

I have some of them as a downloaded file, but later ones i just clicked run when they download instead of saving. (being lazy

)

If the Dell technician replaced that hard drive under the warranty, it is most likely that he formatted and put the new replaced drive to the original factory new condition from a backup. That is why you had to reinstall PD12.

You could have paid that technician thousands of dollars or pounds or euros to attempt a data recovery from a service. You can also do weekly full backups to another drive to avoid losing data and downloads in the future.

Actually I still have the hard drive here.

I have to send it back next week, so I'll get my Comp Tech son to have a look to see if we can find the missing files.

Are the downloaded titles and menus, once installed, located in a specific directory/directories?
