Recently changed from Pinnacle Studio 14 to PowerDirector 13 and generally happy.
I had this old project recorded as MOV-files from a Panasonic Lumix TZ-7 in the hopeless 848 x 480 resolution. Pinnacle made a grainy mess out of the video (I tried to export it as 1280 x 780). Out of curiosity, I took this video as my first "pilot" on PowerDirector and the video quality of the output file was just so much better! So I remade the whole project manually in PowerDirector to save these valuable recordings
BUT - now I experience that on approx. every 5th clip in the video, the sound on the exported file starts about a second later with just silence at the start? Funnily enough, it is not alwyas on the same clip, though some clips are more prone to this error than others. A re-encoding of the project solves some of the errors, but creates new ones on other clips in the project.
Being a Pinnacle user, I am used to try out various work-arounds - so far in wain:
- Cut off the first 3 frames of every clip to enforce recoding - no luck
- Unlink video and audio, then copy audio into a blank project to produce just a wav-file to add back to original project - no luck, cut-outs in wav-file too
- Making a movie from blank with just 5 of the clips - works rarely, but fails randomly
- Clear Cyberlink cache - no luck
Is it possible to find a solution to this problem?
PowerDirector works fine (so far!) vith new H.264 AVC 1920x1080 files from my new Lumix TZ40.
Kind regards and thanks!
