This problem started over a year ago with YouCam 6. It was never resolved. I did work with CyberLink support, but they never promised a fix date.

I was hoping that YouCam 7 would work, but it doesn't.

  • If YouCam is running, AMCAP and Windows Live MovieMaker cannot use the YouCam 7 splitter. They don't give a lot of information.

  • If YouCam is running, AMCAP and Windows Live MovieMaker cannot use my webcam. That's the way it's supposed to work.

  • If YouCam is not running, AMCAP and Windows Live MovieMaker can use my webcam. Again, that's the way it's supposed to work.

I submitted a ticket right away.

I have a limited amount of time to return this software. If CyberLink can't get this fixed quickly, I'm going to get a refund. Jerry Schwartz

I spent a long time letting CL's support team fiddle with my computer, on two separate occasions. They hit a dead end, so I uninstalled and "returned" the product for a credit.

I upgraded to Win10 yesterday. Just on a whim, I decided to give YouTube another try. Since I still had the YouTube 7 download on a backup, I re-installed it.

It works perfectly.

The Win10 upgrade fixed the problem. I don't think anyone will ever know why.

I purchased YouTube again, and I'm quite happy. Jerry Schwartz
