I have just purchased Cyberlink Power Director 13. I have put some mts clips into the library but I cannot see them in the preview window. I do have sound but no video. I can also see any photos in the preview window. I can see the videos when I place them on the timeline. Is this a fault? Can you please help. I like to view the clips before I put them on the timeline

Hi Jbelle ,
Just guesses,
1. You need to update your graphic card driver to be able to preview the video.
2. The track video, probably you can view them because they're Shadow edit Files (low res) and your graphics card can open those.
If you provide a diagnostic file we should be able to advise you of the cause.
Please provide the following information and attach it to your reply.

Dafydd,

Thank you for your help, and I apologise for not replying immediately I have done some further checking here. We have Director Suite Version 12 on another computer. I have checked that version and the library videos play in Standard 2D Preview.

My video in Version 13 on this laptop now plays in 3D Ready HDTV (checkboard). The colour looks correct and the sound is perfect.

Is it possible that I have checked or unchecked a box in Preferences? I have compared the two lots of Preferences and they look the same.

Is it ok if I just use the 3D Ready HDTV (checkboard) or will this cause problems when I come to render the video?

Thank you.

Hi Jbelle ,
You need to provide all the information requested in my previous post before I can address your observations regarding playing viewing (unknown to me what the video is) a video on a 3D Ready HDTV.

I'm guessing you have linked up your laptop to a TV and are viewing/editing on a TV screen. I'm just guessing here.

See details requested in previous post - would help us, help you.

Dafydd

Can this work? I tried to transcode the 3D MTS video with a video converter beforehand and then add into PD13.
