I have been testing Windows 10 as I joined Windows Insider. I am currently build using 10162. I was wondering if anyone here in this forum has used Power Director 13 on the beta builds? On my main computer I am using Windows 7 Pro SP1 with no problems. I wanted to be sure Power Director 13 is going to work with any issues before I upgrade my main computer to Windows 10.

I'm confused. You're testing 10 but you want to know if anyone else is using PD on 10 before you upgrade your main machine?

Can't you install PD on your Win10 Computer?

I got the Intel Compute Stick so I can upgrade to 10. I doubt there will be enough room. Only 32GB SSD and I'm already down to 12GB free. CyberPowerPC | Win7HP-64 | AMD FX-8320 3.5 Ghz | 8GB Mem | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB | WEI 5.9

I have the licensed copy of Power Director 13 on my windows 7 computer. I don't want to install Power Director 13 on my Windows 10 test computer as that it would violate the license. One install for one license.

Wow... I didn't even come close to thinking about that.

Maybe you could ask them if it's ok to install on the 10 computer for a week or month and then uninstall?

It never hurts to ask. CyberPowerPC | Win7HP-64 | AMD FX-8320 3.5 Ghz | 8GB Mem | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB | WEI 5.9

Microsoft is going to start to roll out Windows 10 to Insiders on or before July 29 and everyone else after that. That means people will be upgrading to Windows 10 as early as 3 weeks as of this post. It would be nice to know if Power Director 13 and for that matter other Cyberlink Products will work properly with Windows 10. In theory if it works with Windows 7 it should work with Windows 10. I remember there were lot of issues when people went from Windows XP to Windows 7. I think it was minor with Windows 8.

Shouldn't have any issue with 32bit or 64bit apps. Most hardware should work if you have win8 driver.

Unfortunately, Preview 10162 won't install at all on my new Asus ROG laptop. Just bought in 8 days ago. Looks like MS has a ways to go. Intel i7 4770k, 16GB, GTX1060 3GB, Two 240GB SSD, 4TB HD, Sony HDR-TD20V 3D camcorder, Sony SLT-A65VK for still images, Windows 10 Pro, 64bit

Nothing wrong with installing the demo version although if it was me and I was testing before actually jumping in i.e. once it works delete from the old machine I wouldn't worry about it.

I tried above suggestion and Power Director 13 trial version is running perfectly with Windows 10 Build 10166 (latest build as of this message). Also noticed Cyberlink updated their webpage to say Power Director 13 Windows 10 ready.

Thanks Cyberlink.

Will Win 10 Upgrade require us to re-install all app software including PDR13 - I'm using 8.1??

I normally do a clean install for new windows releases. A real pain in the ***.

Thanks Anubisviech - big relief but experience has taught me that I should wait when it comes to new Windows releases so I'm going to sit back for a few months until I'm sure it's stable - particually if it's "Free".cool

In answer to the original question, PowerDirector 13 works fine on my HP DV6 laptop running Windows 10, Build 10240. Along with PowerDirector 13, I use Office 2016 and Adobe CC 2015 on a daily basis. A word of caution: while Windows 10 has functioned well on my desktop and laptop, my tablet experience has been inconsistent. My Toshiba Encore has worked fine, but my Winbook TW100 has required some diligence and frequent resets. Caveat emptor

PD13 (latest Build) works incorrectly with Windows 10 64Bit and Intel Core i7 4770K (integrated Intel HD4600 Graphics).

Newest Windows 10 64Bit Intel Driver is installed. ( ...424.

With actived Hardware Decoding in the Settings Menu of PD13, The Streams in the Timleline produces a "green Screen" in the Preview Handler Window.

This issue isn't present in Windows 7 and 8.1 64Bit.

It's the same issue with PD12 latest Build.

blasiusxx,

You should qualify your response as being your experience. I'm using 64 bit Windows 10 (latest build) with PowerDirector 13 64 bit (latest build) on two separate systems with no problems.

Kevin, Of course this refers to my systems, what kind of determination...

I have the Issue with my PC with Intel HD4600 and with my Notebook with Intel HD3000 integrated Graphics.

Newest and Older Intel VGA Drivers tested !!

Hardware Video Acceleration is always turned "On" in PD13 (latest Build).

Now i tested PD12. There is the Same issue in the Preview Handler: "Green Screen" if i play the Stream from the Timeline.

When Hardware Acceleration is turned "Off" it works correctly. But this slows down PD12+13 a little bit.

I can not believe that no one else with Intel Grpahic has not the problem.

With Nvidia Geforce GTX960 there is no "Green" Screen if HW Video Acceleration is "On".

I'm still not sure about this:
I used the Intel driver update for the 4600 and it gave me the HD Graphics update.10/23/2014
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24329/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit
I then found the newer Iris Pro Driver and installed it and have had no problems since using PDR 13.05/29/2015
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24964/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit
Both include the 4600 GPU.
I'm still on 8.1 so not sure if it will help on Win 10.
Please check - I also want to move to Win 10.

No, thanks. It doesn't help in Windows 10 64Bit. Green Screen Still there.

In Windows 8.1 all Drivers works perfectly.
