Does anyone have a secret method to download updates without using the downloader? The only computer I have with an internet connection at the moment is not Windows and will not run the downloader. I can borrow one, I guess, but would rather use my own computer.

Hi James,
I'll make some inquiries and will be in touch, emailing you if do-able.

Got it, Dafydd. Thank you. This limited internet access can make life difficult sometimes. __________________________________

Can you post the "how to" for the rest of us. I have also struggled with Update needing five or more attempts before successful download - very frustrating when you have a slow internet connection.
Thanks
Al

That is good to hear. If your internet service is slow but the server for the download links are too slow then one can try a download accelerator. It works by requesting several different sections of downloads at once to max the download speed and then splice it all together at the end on your pc. Resume is a possible feature. It works well with files that are not different to different users.

I used one at times with my xp computer in the past.
