is there any way to use powerdvd without it Re-sampling audio for me and just leave it to my sound card and system?
my HD sound card isnt supported by you guys -- its a creative x-fi surround 5.1 pro -- but it shouldnt matter -- it STILL outputs sound out of it fine -- and it still samples through ANY other player that doesnt resample on its own -- like windows media player/VLC/foobar/etc -- its only because PDVD is capable of resampling audio and video on its own, taking place of the sound card/video card, that this is happening...
right now I have a Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon DVD-A disc in, and its playing it at 16/44.1 -- even though my sound card is set to 24/96
I saw in an old post someone said something about copy protection -- but this has NOTHING to do with the issue of 24 vs 16 bit audio or sample rate -- it is PURELY because PowerDVD insists upon resampling everything.
there should be an option to totally shut off powerDVD's resampler, and just stream to whichever is the default windows sound device, with no enhancements. After all, if there are NO enhancements being used, what use is resampling the audio in powerDVD?
