CyberLink release information: 2015-05-28:

PowerDirector 13 GM6 v2907 has been withdrawn due to a critical issue being found in specific platforms.

Issue summary: After updating PowerDirector 13 to v2907 in specific platforms, PowerDirector 13 shows error message "Out of memory" and crashes after opening a project. Users who have encountered the issue should roll back to PowerDirector 13 v2604. CyberLink are working on the solution now and will provide a new patch ASAP.

Would it be correct to explain properly how to return to the previous version. We are a little disappointed. W 10 64 , pc Dell XPS 8000 - core i7 2,8 GHz--ram 6 MB--GEFORCE GTX 1050TI 4GB - SSD 256 + 2x630--area Pal

Hi bonagege ,
You are right, I have posted the information CyberLink has released and not a guide to uninstalling/reinstalling back to an earlier build.

I would...
Uninstall CyberLink PowerDirector 13 (2907) via the Control Panel see: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features
Reboot
Install CyberLink PowerDirector 13 + activation key
Install the patch 2604.

Others may do the actions differently.

3130 has the same problem. I did an update in the middle of editing a home movie, now it hogs memory (16GB!) in the create disk menu. It completely locks the system, cannot dump, screen save, etc. I want to roll back to the previous update but how????? Michael

I suppose you do not have a copy of the previous update.

If so download here again

Do you have Windows system restore turned on? __________________________________

All of these are good suggestions. If Windows Restore can roll your system back to before the 3130 update, use that.

If not, please UNINSTALL PD13 and then reinstall it and use the patch that PlaySound linked to. You'll need to have your license key, and a full uninstall/reinstall is the only way to get PD back to the way it was before the 3130 patch was applied.

I was able to roll back but it did not fix the issue. The system still hangs eating all memory and I cannot create a dump or trace to send to cyberlink and find out. It is likely some glitch in Windows 10 Michael

Michael, since your problem is not related to the 2907 patch being withdrawn, please start a new thread and post the details requested in sections A, B and J in this *sticky*

It would also help if you could try creating a new project with just one or two clips and see how PD performs. I realize you're in the middle of a project but you're experiencing things nobody else has reported and we need to figure out what's going on with your computer before we can understand the issue with your specific project. Starting with a small, clean project will give us more info.

Thread closed. Best thing to do, so it wont be used.
Please start a new topic for your own new issue.
