Buying a HD Camcorder
[Post New]
I like videos. I like to shoot videos, modify them, along with photos, convert a series of photos and video clips to a final video with PowerDirector 13.

But, I will admit that I am a novice. I've created probably 100 videos, which I believe are reasonably good. Clever, bright, funny, music, colorful - those are my goals.

I use an iPhone to take both videos and photos. I know that is just a first step, even though the iPhone is pretty good. I normally adjust each iPhone photo for more color, less shadows, more highlights.

I am beginning to realize the limitations of the iPhone. I would like to take another step upwards.

I am looking for a good camcorder in the $500 range. I've read a good bit about the Panasonic HC-V770 HD Camcorder. Everything I have read is good.

There likely are many experts on this forum who have $3,000+ (++ ?) camera systems. I don't want or need that now.

Are there recommendations here for a camcorder in the $500 range ?

Thanks much,

Clark

A great place to do business with. I have a Canon HG20 that has performed very well. There are so many others that will fill your requirements as well. .

That camcorder specs are great. It doesn't have a evf like all moderate priced ones. Have you considered a still camera like a megazoom. The do stills and HD videos too but time limited on video for about the same price.
