I have done this on several occasions, and it does take a little effort.
Take your music selection and place it in an audio timeline. Then do it again, in a second timeline, further "down the road".
It's best to add an audio-only timeline so the 2 clips can be seen close to each other.
Wait for the wave form to appear, and then look for patterns in the music to overlap the 2 clips matching those patterns as best you can.
Generally I use the first 3/4 of the first clip, and cut out (remove) only the first 1/4 of the second clip, leaving the final 3/4. Try to overlap somewhere in there.
In the end, I usually only have a few notes overlap each other, but the transition can be quite smooth, perhaps using audio fades can help.
NOTE: Are you using a particular clip you simply MUST have? Are you familiar with Smartsound/Magic Music, the music module that is included with PowerDirector?
Magic Music can be made to any length you need, with a complete beginning and end for a full sounding audio piece.
