I made a video on my 10" android tablet and the clips appear correctly in the tablet.

I then editited and produced a small mp4 video with PD 13 to play on computers etc. On the computer it looks fine. Then I transferred the produced video to my 10" android tablet and the video appears squashed.

In the Profile name/ Quality I had selected 1920 x 1080/30p (16 Mbps) . Is this where I would need to change settings before producing? Or do I need to look at the tablet's settings?

You need to look at the parmeters of the video from the tablet.

If you import the video from the tablet into Powerdirector library, right click > View Properties. It will tell you the HxV resolution, the Frame rate and the Aspect Ratio.

You want to produce as close as you can to those properties. If SVRT is available, you can use the suggested profile. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thanks Carl for your reply, as you can gather I am very new to video editing.

I followed your advice and chose the profile SVRT selected but unfortunately when I went to transfer the produced file to the tablet it won't let me until I allow it to be converted, which turns out to be into a wmv file.

So now the video appears fine on my android tablet and I understand if needs be that Apple users can get a free converter programme, so that solves that problem. Thanks Carl

I have tried all the produce formats, but phone cant read them.
Phone properties: android 4.1.2 Phone clip format: *.3gpp
clip format after imported into PD edit: MP4
