No audio during edit play back.
[Post New]
Clean install on new Dell hardware. During edit I do not hear any of the audio tracks.

I can; Hear the audio on the MP4 produce file fine when played outside of PD.

I can; Click on the audio track and open WaveEditor and play and edit the audio just fine.

Have attached screen shots and Dx. Running version 13.0.2604.0

What am I missing?

Mod edited. Title changed, from Now to No.

Are you using Non Real time preview? it mutes the audio during preview and editing, but doesnt affect your render.

If you are, right click on the preview window and select Preview mode- Real time preview to hear audio during editing.

The image you posted does not show us anything related to no audio.

Please post a screen shot ot the Powerdirector Edit space.

The things to check for are the check marks on the audio tracks and check the volume control on the Preview. There are cases of the volume being turned all the way down. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Sorry about that. Yes, I did look at level setting inside the audio track and don't see that any of them are muted.

Look at the volume control on the Previewer, it has a cross through it, that means either there is no sound driver or it is muted.

I edited your image. Look for the Red Square.

Thanks, icon too small on my screen to see that it was in a muted state. Was not able to change it to an unmuted state. Removed smartsound quicktracks, rebooted and was able to turn the volume back on. Thanks for all your help.

Glad you got your sound back.

I would guess the re-boot solved the volume not able to unmute. I doubt that Smartsound QuickTracks was the problem.

You can goto Smartsound and re-install Smartsound Quicktracks. If you use the Smartsound music.

Download the update: The 30 MB update is just the engine, the 204 Mb update is the engine and the basic library for Cyberlink.
