Save or export? Perhaps a few minutes looking at these tutorial might be useful.

Did you watch the video tutorial?

Did you try selecting "Export" Read the message that pops up.

These are very basic controls so askign questions about the basic features puzzles me. What and how much time have you spent tring to learn the program and not just opening it and expecting it to tell you everything? What other image editing program have you used?

Why are you using Picassa? .

I'd support stevek in his suggestion to take time to watch some of the tutorials and practise using the features of PhD.

To save an adjusted photo, you generally have the option to either Export or Save To. Export is my preference when it's available. These image guides might help: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24696.page#135508 and http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24696.page#171103

There may be good reason for using other software where it has features unavailable in PhD. I very often use other photo editing software for particular purposes.
