There are two free players that I am aware of that will support 4K 264 and 265 GTX960 CUDA . MPC HC x64 and now GOM player.

Makes a huge difference when playing 4K files via HDMI V2 output at 60FPS. CPU usage is now around 3% from 60%. GPU usage app. 30% up from 0%.

And no more occasional stutter with either one when playing 4K at 60P.

Still looking for a video converter that will do the above including PD13.

Progress!!!

Eugene

Cheerful thought!!

Gomplayer as virtually all freeware, tried to install a security program and some other add ons.

I keep an eagle eye on what the computer is doing, using several malware detectors. Have used GOM player for nearly a year.

That's nasty backdoor stuff!

Apparently, GOMPLAYERJPSETUP_JP.EXE is a valid file and GOMPLAYERBETASETUP_JP.EXE is the fake one containing the nasties.

N.B. JP (Japan) is EN for the English language version.

Reference: http://securelist.com/blog/incidents/58240/abused-update-of-gom-player-poses-a-threat/

Just installed the 2.2.69.5227 version from GOMlab - no nasties if you're careful to uncheck the rubbish options.

Cheers - Tony

I am sticking to MPC-HC x64, it is a complete player.
See compared capabilities here:

But yes, h265 acceleration on GTX960 is sweet...

Add VLC Player to the list of GTX960 CUDA supported players.

I find that GOM has the best still capture ability.
