Adding shape overlay to freeze frame

Hi,

I would like to add a quadrilateral overlay to a freeze-frame, followed by a cross through the middle, to highlight the portion of a video where something will be inserted. I can't figure out a good way to do this...

On a previous post somewhere I remember someone recommending paint.net but it seems this program can only draw rectangles.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

EDIT: I don't really want a parallelogram, maybe something closer to a trapezoid. Really I just need to draw a shape made up of four intersecting lines with custom angles between them. I might even prefer if one side were curved. How can I do this?

Hi Allan -

When you get Paint.NET up & running, this little quick toot shows how to do (something like) what you're after.

I live like I type - fast & full of mistakes

Also, once you've drawn a shape like that you can use PDR's freeform tool to manipulate it. This started out as a rectangle.

Cheers - Tony
