Just a note here to say that I'd been running WHQL V347.52 for weeks without any problems, but in the psat 3 days I had 6 unexplained reboots, not even blue screens.

Windows' Memory Test was good and SFC found no issues, and the bugchecks indicated the video driver and so I did a clean reainstall of 347.52. My system crashed again this morning with the finger pointed at "nvlddmkm.sys" so I went back to 347.25.

So far, no unexplained crashes so I wanted to put the word out in case this is happening to anyone else

Which card are you using?

Never mind. I see it in your profile.

Isn't that 347.52 driver set for the GTX960 series?

Hi Myk

It was actually 347.25 that was released for the GTX960 back in Jan. 347.52 supposedly has some improvements over that, but I wouldn't exactly call my experiences an improvement! yell

Well, my GTX 960 has no issues with the 347.52.

However, my HTPC, that has a GT610, experienced some weird slow-downs in playing recoded shows so I reverted to 347.25 and seems to stopped. But I am not 100% sure if that was the cause - it might be my storage HDD also because I started to hear some "clicks" too.

No restarts though...

Well, this morning 347.25 crashed when I opened up IE, and the event log showed dozens of "Application iexplore.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware." and "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." errors.

Long story short, I found that one of the wires on the extra power connectors at the top of my GTX780Ti was a little loose, and I also removed and reseated the card. Then I uninstalled BOINC and Display Fusion (for doing GPU science and managing my multi-monitor setup, repectively) and then uninstalled all nVidia software and removed my GTX780Ti from Device Manager.

I rebooted and installed those items again, and I've gone back to using 347.52 because the problem no longer appears related to that specific version. I think I've got things sorted out now, but will update if there's more trouble.

Thanks!

Just an update to say that I also had some issues with cross-linking on my C: drive SSD. A whole bunch of files in the users\appdata and windows\driver store folders were messed up, including several nVidia files and I had to do an offline drive repair to get everything sorted out.

I don't think PD13 had anything to do with this and I don't know if the drive issues caused my video driver crashes or vice versa, but after all this work at least things look much more solid now, even with 347.52 cool
